Overview
Announcers comment and explain news events and activities of interest to keep audiences informed or aware of issues. They may do advertising commercials and interview guest speakers such as politicians, athletes, and panel discussions in order to entertain audiences.
Formal training in broadcasting communications from a college or technical school is essential. Most radio & TV sports announcers have a bachelor's degree or an associate degree, however, your speech delivery is critical.
